| Aims: | To fund travel costs and registration fees for attending short training courses (e.g. oncology workshops, special skills training courses, training courses for a new technique). |

| Description: | Funding will be awarded on the basis of: The course identified must have an obvious research training component; the training course must be designed to promote transdisciplinary working or promote new technology relevant to your research; the relevance of the training course to the individual's work in cancer research must be made clear. |

| Restrictions: | Open to UK based clinicians, nurses or researchers with an interest in oncology. The bursary cannot be used to support attendance at conferences. Funding for more than one person from a particular laboratory to attend a short training course in any one year cannot be provided. Does not cover PhD students. |
