| Aims: | To generate high quality evidence on the implementation and public health impact of prepregnancy health and care before and between pregnancies in England. |

| Description: | The Department of Health (DH) invites applications for a study (up to 24 months) beginning in mid-May 2010. This study should be grounded within a conceptual framework that sees childbearing as a complex series of individual, family and societal factors, which impacts across the life course. No one study design will address all the issues and consideration should be given to employing a translational research approach, which incorporates the different components that might contribute to different perspectives taking into account the entire lifespan as well as multiple determinants. |
