Research Support (Education and Social Exclusion) Details (Hits : 2030)

Aims: To support projects regarding Education and Social exclusion that may not qualify for public funding or attract other major funding bodies.
Description: Eligible projects would ideally be innovative, focus on the disadvantaged, and have lasting effects. Alternatively they should consist of work (e.g. action research, pilot schemes) that would lead to such projects, and preferably they should also be capable of replication if successful. UK projects which the Foundation has supported in the past include those providing for vulnerable and disturbed children, the education of the autistic, homeless children, deaf adults, disabled artists, outreach work of arts organisations and help for ex-offenders.

Restrictions: Applications for grants by individuals will not be considered by the Trustees. Individuals (over the age of 24) are eligible for Wingate Scholarships awarded annually by competition. Applications by organisations which award scholarships or bursaries are eligible and will be considered.
