| Aims: | The purpose of the association is to : Bring together all those working within people management within healthcare services in a UK wide network. Promote excellence in workforce management, development and leadership within healthcare services. Work in partnership with other organisations to benefit patients through workforce management, development and leadership. Influence on behalf of professionals and practitioners working within people management in healthcare services. |
| General Information: | Healthcare People Management Association bring healthcare professionals together in a UK wide network, to help them influence, develop and promote high quality HR within the NHS. They are: - UK-wide - a vibrant national body with branches throughout the UK. - HR focused - the only independent Association which focuses on HR within healthcare. - Healthcare focused - their members come from all corners of the NHS, from private healthcare and from specialist consultancy. - Inclusive - they have over 3000 members at every level within HR, and welcome members from other disciplines especially nursing, general management and CEO colleagues. - Influential - they have significant influence with the NHS policy makers and are consulted on all important national HR issues. They are a major player in health service management and have close links with the NHS Confederation and the IHM. They also have close links with the CIPD, SOCPO, and the major NHS trade unions. Their administration is handled by Chamberlain Dunn Associates, with whom they have established an effective partnership. |
